=Microfluidic Devices for Combo-Lock= [[Daniel:Notebook/ComboLock|Back to Notebook]] This page details the microfluidic devices used for the Combo-lock project. I have tried to include specifications whenever possible. ==Drop Seq Device== Some specs for the Drop Seq device from the [http://www.cell.com/abstract/S0092-8674%2815%2900549-8 Macosko et al 2013 paper]. Below is an image of a single device. A chip contains several dozen of these devices. <gallery heights=400px widths=400px perrow=2 caption="Cross-Sectional Images of the Drop Seq Device"> File:Drop_Seq_Device.png|'''Device inlets and outlets'''. As can be seen, 4 lines are used, 3 inlets and an outlet. Two of the inlets are aqueous, the third is oil for droplet formation. File:DropSeqDevice_Junctions.png|'''Drop seq device junctions'''. The first junction combines the two aqueous solutions; in the original paper this combines a cell solution with beads in a lysis buffer solution. See Combo-Lock protocols for further details. The second junction combines the mixed aqueous phases with the oil phase, forming droplets. Note the post-mixing grooves to facilitate mixing. </gallery>
