  • For new lab members:
    • download the New Worker Checklist
    • go to UC learning Center
    • register and complete these in class courses: INJURY AND ILLNESS PREVENTION PROGRAM; RESEARCH SAFETY ORIENTATION; (If necessary then also complete BIOSAFETY: BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS; BIOSAFETY: VIRAL VECTOR)
    • complete the online courses: UC Laboratory Safety Fundamentals
    • complete the items on new worker checklist
  • For existing lab members:
  • complete annual refresher training every year before last year's completion date
  • go to UC learning Center
  1. Login via Single Sign on or Active directory (your UCSD email user name only and password)
  2. Search for “IIPP”
  3. Click on "ANNUAL HAZARDOUS MATERIALS TRAINING"
  4. Click "Start" to complete the training
  5. Please print out the copy of your certificate after you are done
  6. repeat the same process for bloodborne pathogens and viral vector classes if needed
