Calibrating the Qubit Fluorometer
Running a New Calibration
- Insert standard #1
- Press <Go>
- Wait for ~5s
- Insert standard #2
- Press <Go>
Using the Last Calibration
- Highlight <Use Last Calibration>
- Press <Go>
Reading Samples
- Insert sample
- Press <Go>
- Read the result on the display
- Record the reading
- Remove the sample form the instrument
- Insert the next sample
- Press <Go>
- Repeat until all samples have been read
Calculation the Concentration of your Sample
- Qubuit fluorometer gives values in either ug/ml or ng/ml
- Concentration of your sample = QF value x (200/x)
*where QF = the value given by the Qubit fluorometer x = the number of microliters of sample you added to the assay tube
- This equation generates a result with the same units as the value given by the Qubit fluorometer
