EAP Malaysia is the leader of the stipulation of Applied Behavioural Evaluation (ABA) treatment in Malaysia and was founded by Wisconsin Early autism rate in malaysia Task (WEAP) in September 2006. For all specialists, an initial training including 20 hours of courses and 3 weeks on hand-held training is needed prior to starting work with a child with autism after which normal fortnightly if not weekly supervision is provided with regular overlaps and team meetings.
Additionally, WEAP's published research in the American Journal of Mental Retardation (November 2005 issue) followed Dr. Ivar Lovaas' study in 1987 and 1993 whereby 48% of the kids that participated in the extensive behavioral treatment were able to capture up and participate efficiently in common institution.
EAP Malaysia is the pioneer of the provision of Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) therapy in Malaysia and was started by Wisconsin Early Autism Task (WEAP) in September 2006.
