If you've made the choice to leave WhatsApp, either as a result of limited storage space, you can delete your account forever.

To delete your WhatsApp account, follow these steps:

1 Start by opening WhatsApp on your phone or accessing the WhatsApp website using a desktop browser.

4 In the settings panel, scroll down, and look for the 'Account' section.

7 WhatsApp will then prompt you to confirm that you want to delete your account. Be aware that you can't recover anything, and you won't be able to log in again using the same phone number after deletion.

Note that if you've used WhatsApp Business or WhatsApp with multiple numbers, deleting one account won't delete all of them. In this case, you'll need to delete each account separately.

Removing WhatsApp from your phone doesn't delete your account, so you can still delete your account even if you've removed the app from your phone.
